6th and 7th grade CoW

7th Grade Paperless Cow

Human liver and muscle cells require a great deal of energy. Which cell organelles would you expect to appear in large numbers as a result?

    I think you would expect to see large numbers of mitochondria. Since they produce most of the energy in the cell, liver and muscle cells would need many mitochondria(s?) to operate.

    Good Job to Sarahn, Miriam, Christian, and Thomas for posting answers. Some of you need to check your answers - make sure you are answering the question that was asked. Hint - which organelles would you expect if these require a lot of energy? Remember that you must provide an explanation as to WHY your answer is correct (Christian).

    I think the correct answer is D, mitocindria because if the human liver and the muscle cells require a lot of energy, then mitocondria would be in them a lot since it produces most of a cell's energy.

    the correct answer is d because a is the part o
    of the cell that absorbs sunlight i think. b is what gives the cell food and water and c is what gives the cell well i forgot what the vaculoles do but it doesnt give the cell energy!!! so this is why d is correct!!!

    Good job to Olivia, Ryan, Skyler, Kenya, and Shonterria for posting their answers. Remember, we are looking for the cell part that appears in great numbers because the liver and muscle cells require a great deal of energy. The clue word is energy.

    I THINK THE ANSWER IS D BECAUSE IT PROVIDE EUKARYOTIC CELLS WITH ENERGY AND ITS ALSO KNOWN AS THE POWERHOUSES OF THE CELLS.

    I have changed my answer to d)Mitochondria because mitochondria is the cells power producers.They convert energy into forms that are usable by the cell.

    the answer is d because nucleus controls the cell, the ribosomes produce protein, and the vacuoles store the water, food, and waste of the cell. The mitochondria produce most of the cell's energy
